Privacy Policy
TierOnePrep (tieroneprep.com) is an interview-preparation service. This page explains what data we collect, why, who processes it, and how to get it deleted. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a practice product with accounts and subscriptions, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account by emailing us.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address and a hashed password, or your basic Google profile (email, name, avatar) if you sign in with Google. We never see your Google password.
- Practice activity — which questions you mark as done, quiz results, and the XP/streak/rank derived from them. This exists so your dashboard works.
- Optional public profile — a username and your practice stats, shown at a public URL only if you opt in from your dashboard. It is off by default and you can turn it off at any time.
- Anonymous practice progress — if you work through a free question before signing up, we store your progress against a random identifier held in a
tp_anoncookie. It is not linked to any name or email. If you later create an account, that progress is merged into it so you do not lose your work; if you never do, it simply expires. The same identifier counts your visit once a day, server-side: the page you arrived on, the site that referred you, your country and whether you are on a phone — so we can see which of our efforts brings people here without relying on client-side analytics. - Things you submit — feedback reports and interview questions you share with us. Shared questions may be displayed on the site after review, without your name or email.
- Email activity — if we send you an email, we record that it was sent and what happened to it: delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, marked as spam, or unsubscribed. We use this to stop emailing people who do not want it and to cap how many messages anyone receives. You can turn categories off, or opt out entirely, from your email preferences or any unsubscribe link.
- Payment status — whether you have an active Pro subscription and its billing period. Card details never touch our servers (see Stripe below).
Who processes it
- Supabase — database and authentication (where your account and practice data live).
- Stripe— payments. Checkout happens on Stripe's servers; we store only a customer reference and subscription status, never card numbers.
- Resend — email delivery. Receives your email address in order to send account and product emails, and reports back whether each message was delivered, opened or bounced.
- Google Cloud & Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics (page views and product events like sign-ups) so we can see which pages are useful. We do not send it your email or practice content.
We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, and we do not use your data to train AI models.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in (Supabase auth session), a tp_anon cookie holding a random identifier so practice progress survives before you have an account, and Google Analytics cookies for usage statistics. We also read your country from your request (via our CDN) — country level only, used to show prices in your currency, and not stored against your account.
We also set a tp_src cookie on your first visit, recording how you reached the site — the website that linked to you (for example a search engine or a social network), any campaign tag in the link, and the first page you landed on. It holds no identifier and cannot be read by scripts in your browser. If you create an account, that information is stored against it so we can tell which channels bring people who find the site useful. It is never sold, and never shared with advertisers.
Access & deletion
Email hello@tieroneprep.com from your account email to request a copy of your data or full account deletion. Deletion removes your account, practice history, and public profile; Stripe retains transaction records it is legally required to keep.
Children
TierOnePrep is a professional interview-prep tool and is not directed at children under 16.
